Effective blueprinting saves time, avoids errors, reduces complexity, and makes it easier for teams to work together on building digital artefacts and using systems. It makes it easier to evaluate how your pedagogic strategies will work in reality. By doing this stage collaboratively, using shared design tools (e.g. Miro) you can test out your ideas before putting resource into the final build. This is especially important when you are trying something new to you (or new to the world).

You don't need to decide on all of the details up-front. It's good practice to leave plenty of time and space to respond flexibly to your students. But by using the templates and guides in this section, you can get enough certainty on the things that matter, so that you and your colleagues (including students) can confidently build and operate your learning designs.

Things you might produce in this stage:

• Plans (called treatments) for videos and interactive media.
• Selections of templates.
• Choices of Moodle layout, activities and resources.
• Designs for Teams spaces and Office 365 content.
• Other tools that will be used.
• Specifications for prerequisiutes, skills etc.
• Plans for when and how content and activities are made available to students.
