Alastair Phillips has published a chapter, ‘Migration and Exile in the Classical Period’, in the new, fully revised second edition of The French Cinema Book (co-edited by Michael Temple and Michael Witt).

 There will be a launch event next month (on Tuesday 27 February at 7.00pm) at the Institut français (London) to mark this book and also Alastair Phillips and Ginette Vincendeau's new volume Paris in the Cinema: Beyond the Flâneur, which has recently been published by the British Film Institute.

 The latter also features contributions by Charlotte Brunsdon and Stephen Gundle from the Department of Film and Television Studies.
