We are delighted to hear that Catherine Constable's article 'Surfaces of Science Fiction: Enacting Gender and "Humanness" in Ex Machina' has been shortlisted for the 2019 Film-Philosophy Annual Article Award, meaning that it has been judged to be one of the most outstanding pieces of work published in the journal Film-Philosophy last year. The first placed article will be officially announced at the 2019 Film-Philosophy conference in Brighton in July.
