Undergraduate degrees in Film and Television Studies

See the world through the lens of film and television

Whether it's passion for the moving image, its stars, genres or history that excite your academic curiosity, our small, close-knit community will welcome you.

Join Warwick and explore visual culture with our ambitious and innovative curriculum. You’ll study everything from early cinema to the ever-changing landscape of digital media. Along the way, you'll explore the latest Hollywood blockbusters, the history of television and a wealth of independent and international cinemas.

  • Film Studies (BA): Focus entirely on Film and Television Studies. This course is run entirely by our department.
  • Film and Literature (BA): Spend half your time on Film and Television Studies, and half your time on Literature. This course is run with the department of English and Comparative Literary Studies and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures.

You will be taught by the country’s leading scholars, using state-of-the-art equipment. Your film screenings will be supported by lectures, seminars, workshops and supervisions. All this will help you to develop and refine your audio-visual literacy and communication skills.

Alongside essays and exams, there are also opportunities to develop your creative practice through presentations, podcasts, video essays and film festival design. You can even make your own short film with our partners at the London Film School.
