The task involves a situation with 3 possibilities. The student selects one of these and explains why. This is followed by a set of short extension questions (2 minutes for situation-based activity + 2 minutes for extension activity) |

- Instructions for all oral examinations (including topics for long turns) are handed out in class and published in Languages@Warwick in week 8 of term 2.
- The numbers of minutes are approximate.
- Oral examinations are recorded.
- In levels 3-4, for the long turn, a separate card is prepared for each topic by the student, in the target language, with max 6 bullets, max 20 words (or numbers).
- In levels 5-7, for the long turn, the student can bring visual prompts and a card with max 6 bullets, max 20 words (or numbers).
