Summary

Level:

Absolute beginners. You are a complete beginner, knowing virtually nothing of the language.

Main Objectives:

You will develop competence in a range of predictable simple everyday language tasks. The course will provide a very basic knowledge of the structure and vocabulary of the language.

Teaching:

1 x 2 hour class per week plus some independent learning.

Course Description

We will learn to communicate in simple everyday situations, to understand short and simple messages and conversations, read and find information in short simple texts. A variety of exercises, role-plays will be carried out in class to make sure you understand and can use the language presented during the lesson. You will develop an understanding of Russian society and culture.

Homework will be set each week to help you to consolidate grammar and vocabulary learnt in class.

  • making simple arrangements;

  • personal and posessive pronouns;
  • verb conjugation;
  • imperatives.

  • listening, speaking, reading and writing;
  • with emphasis on listening and speaking to communicate in simple conversations.
