Department of Film and Television Studies alumnus Dee Marco has gained a position in the Media Studies Department at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannebsurg, one of the leading universities in South Africa. Dee will hold a tenure track lecturer position in the department.

Dee was supervised by Professor Charlotte Brunsdon and graduated from the department in 2016, with a PhD entitled Films about South Africa 1987 – 2014: Representations of ‘The Rainbow’
