About

Alongside her filmmaking and writing, Dictynna has worked with students for many years. She is currently leading the Production Module at Warwick University for London Film School.

Dictynna has been a guest tutor in directing and screenwriting at London Film School and London Film Academy. She has designed and taught workshops and seminars in directing and screenwriting, including the popular screenwriting course for City University's continuing education department. She has facilitated and directed many student projects including for Central St Martins Screen Acting MA, the London Academy of Dramatic Art, and Cambridge University

Dictynna’s second feature film, Us Among the Stones, stars Anna Calder-Marshall. Us Among the Stones premiered at the London International Film Festival 2019. Her first feature film, Wreckers, stars Claire Foy and Benedict Cumberbatch. Wreckers premiered at the London Film Festival 2011 and won a Silver George at Moscow IFF 2012. Both films are available worldwide on a variety of platforms. Prior to this, Dictynna directed multi-award winning short films The Other Man with Anna Maxwell Martin, and Journey Man, with Ruth Madoc. As writer, she has just completed a play, The Selkie, commissioned by the Wellcome Trust. She is also working on a musical, Dr Faustess.
