About

Jake Edwards holds a BA (2015), MA (2016), and PhD (2021) in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick. His PhD thesis "Unidentified Flying Objects, Photographic Aesthetics, and Moving Images" (supervised by Dr. Michael Pigott and Prof. Karl Schoonover) considers the ways in which images of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in still photographs, moving image fiction, and documentary, frustrate representational conventions, and problematise familiar arguments in debates concerning the aesthetics and epistemology of photographic imaging.
