Several recent employment tribunal rulings have raised the question of whether transphobia can be a protected belief, and what that might mean in practice.

Confusion surrounding this topic can contribute to reluctance to challenge transphobic behaviour such as misgendering, especially within their professional capacities. This workshop will clarify what is and is not protected, by exploring recent high-profile employment tribunal rulings and UK equalities legislation.
