Goodbye and Well Wishes to IAS Administrator Tina Hoare
Tina Hoare, a member of the IAS administration team since May 2014, is leaving the University on 17th August 2020. We wish Tina the best of luck with her future endeavours!

IATL/IAS Early Career Teaching Fellowship Award 2020-21
Giulia Champion and Lorenzo Serini have been awarded an IATL/IAS Early Career Teaching Fellowship Award. Their fellowships will commence in October 2020.
Irene Dal Poz wins teaching award
IAS Early Career Fellow, Irene Dal Poz, has won a Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence (WATE) for Postgraduates who Teach.

Md Salauddin joins School of Civil Engineering, UCD, Ireland.
IAS Early Career Fellow, Md Salauddin, will be joining the School of Civil Engineering at UCD as an Assistant Professor this month. His teaching and research focus will be Water and Environmental Engineering, but particularly in Coastal Engineering.
Fabiola Creed awarded Wellcome Trust-funded Medical Humanities China-UK (MHCUK) Fellowship
IAS Early Career Fellow, Fabiola Creed will begin a Wellcome Trust-funded Medical Humanities China-UK (MHCUK) fellowship in September 2020 at the Centre for the Social History of Health and Healthcare (CSHHH) at the University of Strathclyde and Shanghai University. Fabiola will be extending her PhD research on the sunbed industry to explore skin cancer campaigns and other tanning technologies, such as tanning injections and ‘fake’ tan.
Maurizio Monti joins University of Aarhus, Denmark
IAS Early Career Fellow, Maurizio Monti joins the University of Aarhus as a postdoctoral fellow at the end of August 2020. In this new role, Maurizio will continue working with ultrafast lasers, this time to understand the complex physics of quantum materials such as high-temperature superconductors.
