Enhancing Research Culture Bid Success

Enhancing Research Culture bid success

Dr Becky Notman, along with Co-investigators across the Chemistry Teaching and Learning, Student Experience and Postgraduate Student community, have been awarded £28k from Enhancing Research Culture Funds.

The award will support initiatives in “Enhancing the Research Experience of Postgraduate and Undergraduate students in Chemistry and the Wider Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine by Boosting the Cohort Experience and Skills Training”.

The Department warmly welcomes this support which will fund projects such as the PhD Retreat, Careers Pathway Seminar Series, community social events and cross-departmental networking sessions and activities to develop a research culture in the UG community.

Becky said of the success,

“We are delighted to have been awarded this funding. It will enable us to continue to build a positive culture around research, and to reinvigorate the sense of belonging and community among our PGR students.”

Congratulations and thanks to all involved in this great success for the department and SEM faculty.
