Warwick Chemistry spinout Interface Polymers Ltd (IPL) announces a ground-breaking achievement – the commercial scale-up of their first product.

Ross Baglin, CEO of IPL said of the milestone,

"After months of dedicated teamwork, meticulous planning, and relentless innovation, we are proud to share that our production has not only met but exceeded expectations and we are entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion. The fun is just getting started!"

The the plant (pictured) operates a new catalytic technology that creates a unique block copolymer chemistry. the work was published in the leading journal JACSLink opens in a new window and in the Warwick PhD thesis of Dr Chris Kay, who is now CSO of the business. Professor Peter Scott said,

In just a year since investment from Evonik, Ingevity, GC Ventures and Porus, we built a new plant and produced material for the market. IPL is an incredible team, working on great chemistry.
