Dan Houghton
Background
I completed my MChem with Intercalated Year at Warwick in 2020.
My year in industry was spent working for Johnson Matthey at their technology centre in Reading. There I was involved in research for the hydrogen fuel cell (PEMFC), with experience of catalyst layer production and characterisation.
PhD (Present)
I have since joined Warwick Electrochemistry and Interfaces Group under the supervision of Professor Julie Macpherson, focussing on the characterisation and evaluation of boron doped diamond as an electrocatalyst support material.
My research primarily combines electrochemistry with electron microscopy (both SEM and TEM) to study metal electrodeposition and the effects of electrochemical treatments on deposited catalysts.
