The Warwick Monash Alliance

The Monash and Warwick Alliance (MWA) is a strategic partnership established in 2012 between the University of Warwick and Monash University. The Alliance aims to strengthen an ambition of research, education and professional services. To date, the project has successfully enabled over 100 student exchanges, 100+ joint projects and 1,150 co-authored publications. The newly established strategy for 2024-2027 will help to further support impactful research, innovative teaching, and cross-institutional staff development. The Alliance is headed by representatives from both Warwick and Monash University.

FT-ICR-MS Project headed by Mark Barrow.

Dr. Mark Barrow's FT-ICR-MS project focuses on using ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry analysing complex mixtures like crude oil. The team developed the OCULAR method to maintain constant, high resolving power across a wide mass range. Allowing for detailed molecular fingerprinting of samples in fields like energy, environment, and materials science.
