Engineers, Friends and Colleagues

WindAid Institute exists because of people like you, who share our passion for enlightening the minds of the next generation as they work to bring wind energy to communities that need it! We couldn't have achieved all of the following news without your support. Thank you for sharing our emails and flyers!
We have formed a WindAid Institute Board of Directors, completely comprised of past and current volunteers, specifically focused on the sustainable progression that we have been so passionate about achieving for years. We have also launched a completely renovated website to help us highlight what we do, who we are, and our projects past and future.
In the past few months we have been featured on the White House website for our joint project with Northampton Community College (NCC) and the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo (UNT). In partnership with WindAid, NCC received President Barack Obama´s extremely competitive 100,000 Strong in the America´s initiative grant which aims to increase educational exchanges between Universities in the USA and the international community. The hands-on work of our volunteers brought light to a community school in the town of Cushuro in the Peruvian Andes. The 2.5 kW wind turbine is powering laptops, lights, communication devices and other items for both the school and community.
Playa Blanca - a fishing village on the northern coast of Peru and now the first village working with WindAid to power the entire town.
Your access to this experience just got closer to home with the addition of six new WindAid ambassadors around the world! We congratulate those dedicated individuals, and thank them for all they have already done. They have specifically chosen to make themselves available to you and are ready to present, email, and chat about the "inspirational experience" they had down here in Peru.
Want to come with us on the next project? Apply now we fill up quick at the WindAid Institute, and want to be sure you get a spot. We have opened the Project dates for 2015. Make next year unforgettable with the experience of learning, creating, and collaborating in Peru!
