The Warwick Laksh Foundation Project offers teaching placements for student volunteers at the Laksh Foundation, near to Delhi. The Foundation has evolved over the last 4 years from a pilot project with 3 students helping out at one school, to a much larger programme. In the summer of this year12 Warwick students volunteered at Laksh for a month each where they taught English and maths to the local children. They also supported the local volunteer teachers by sharing ideas for teaching and learning. More information on their trip can be found here

Successful students will travel to India between July and September 2015, they will stay in shared cottages on the Laksh Farm, where all meals will be provided for them. Flights and transfers are all also provided however participants are expected to raise a minimum of £500 each to go towards future volunteering projects in India.

Shortlisted applicants are expected to attend a recruitment day in January and successful applicants will then be required to take part in training sessions throughout the Spring and Summer terms.
