Quest Overseas- Opportunities in Africa and South America this Summer!

With 2016 now upon us I am sending out details of some of our fantastic team expeditions in South America and Africa this summer, I would be grateful if you could forward them to your students.

Why volunteer with Quest Overseas?

Quest Overseas work in partnership with a handful of community-led NGOs and initiatives in Africa and South America; all our volunteer work forms part of an established long-term development plan. We are also proudly associated with the Fair Trade Volunteering Movement - something we regard as vital in order to ensure the continuation of responsible overseas volunteering.

As well as giving students a chance to put knowledge gained from their time at university into practise, the experience can also make people ‘stand-out from the crowd’ when the time comes for them to enter today’s competitive job market. All applicants are interviewed prior to being offered a place on our teams to ensure that joining a Quest Overseas team and their chosen project is the right choice for them.

Volunteer with rescued wildlife in Bolivia

Volunteers will work at the Inti Wara Yassi wildlife refuges in the heart of the Bolivian Amazon - helping to construct vital infrastructure and caring for animals rescued from circuses and illegal trading. Click here for further information about this unique project.

Support vulnerable children in Malawi

Volunteers will work to support communities in their effort to provide a fighting chance to children orphaned by HIV- helping to extend the facilities of the project as well as helping out in the feeding centres, preparing food and playing with the children. Click here for further information about this unique project.

You will also find full details of all our adventures here - https://www.questoverseas.com/gap-quest/

We are currently accepting applications for our summer 2016 teams, teams may fill up soon so apply now to ensure availability.

I would appreciate it if you could forward this email onto your students and any possible interested parties.

Poster Available: Additionally if you’re interested in posting this information on your student notice board, here’s a link to one of our posters.

Emergency and Support Links

For emergencies or urgent safety concerns, please contact the University 24-hour Community Safety line: +44 (0)2476 522083. Community Safety operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In the event of an emergency on campus requiring ambulance, police or fire brigade, call 22222 from an internal telephone. If you are on campus and you use a mobile to call for an emergency service (999), you should also then call 024 76 5 22222. This alerts the University Community Safety team and will enable the emergency vehicle to be speedily escorted to where it is required on the campus.

If you're struggling but it's not an emergency, please contact Wellbeing.

If you are a parent or guardian there is more information on what to do if you have concerns: warwick.ac.uk/services/wss/parents/#concern.
