Writing Opportunity for Science Newspaper
Do you fancy writing popular science articles for one of the largest student newspapers in the country? I'm a former Biochemistry PhD student at Bristol Uni and I am involved with an online student publication group called the Erudition News Group. We have just recently launched a new science newspaper, 'Experimentation' (http://www.experimentation-online.co.uk/). This has been a huge success so far but we currently need more writers for our Engineering section.
It doesn't matter if you haven't done anything like this before - I'm new to it as well! The publication began in October of this year so there is definitely a huge chance for you to make your mark. Even better our sister publications, Erudition and Intuition currently attract over 100,000 unique readers a month, and hopefully Experimentation will reach the same standard.
This is a great opportunity to write for a large audience about any topic that interests you, not necessarily just in your specific field of expertise, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this would look great on your CV in that ominous 'transferable skills' section!
Please get in touch if you are interested and I can give you more information. Or if writing's not your thing but you want a bit of a distraction once in a while, check out the newspaper at http://www.experimentation-online.co.uk/.
Cheers,
Alistair Jacklin
