12 months placements - Summer 2014

We are looking for one or two placement students to join our Engineering Services group for 12 months from summer 2014. Our work involves the testing and development of engines and emissions control systems in order to help our customers meet increasingly stringent legislation. Our customers are vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers.

The day to day activities will be similar to those of our graduate engineers and will include.

  • Operation and management of engine and vehicle test facilities
  • Working with Senior Engineers to formulate work programs
  • Commissioning and execution of experiments
  • Analysis of data and reporting
  • Presentation of results

As appropriate, we will tailor these activities to satisfy any specific requirements of your course.

Applicants will ideally be studying either mechanical or automotive engineering and have an interest in and preferably practical experience of internal combustion engines.

The salary for placement students will be £14500 per year – they will also join our profit sharing scheme.
