Graduate Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer at University of St Andrews

Summary from the Vacancy Information:
“Are you a highly motivated graduate with the right skills to optimise how we operate our building energy systems and help the University to reduce its carbon footprint and be carbon neutral for energy by 2016? The role of Graduate BEMS Engineer is a major part of our efforts to make our built environment more energy efficient and to support the first class research and teaching that is carried out.
You will be part of a team of energy and engineering professionals, ensuring that BEMS and energy metering are developed to deliver environmental conditions and critical services to specification whilst maintaining utilities expenditure within budget. As a graduate, you will be provided with the assistance and development training that you need to help you to build your own knowledge and leadership skills.
Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level, with a buildings-related and systems controls qualification. Those with mechanical, electrical and sustainable engineering, relevant science or I.T. qualifications will also be considered. You will have excellent IT skills, and an enquiring mind, willingness to learn, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and enjoy problem solving.”
