UCL PhD Projects Showcase Event
PhD Projects Showcase Event
1 February 2012
University College London, 17-19 Gordon Street, London WC1H OAH
The London Centre for Nanotechnology is one of the world's leading centres for nanotechnology and nanoscience. It covers all aspects of core nanotechnology and many other subjects that you may not think of as nanotechnology: condensed matter physics, energy research, photonics, materials science, neutron and x-ray scattering, security science, complex systems and molecular modelling.
The LCN invites final year students, in any scientific discipline, to visit the LCN on 1 February 2012 to learn about our many PhD opportunities available for the forthcoming year. Following this event, the LCN will be seeking to appoint PhD students who can demonstrate a high level of academic achievement as well as strong motivation for doing one of our PhD projects.
Those interested in attending should register by e-mail (d.ottley@ucl.ac.uk) before 16 January 2012. Please attach a CV which includes details of your current area of study.
The schedule for the day will be posted on the LCN website at www.london-nano.com closer to the date. Details of entry requirements, application procedure, etc, can be found at www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate-study.

For emergencies or urgent safety concerns, please contact the University 24-hour Community Safety line: +44 (0)2476 522083. Community Safety operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In the event of an emergency on campus requiring ambulance, police or fire brigade, call 22222 from an internal telephone. If you are on campus and you use a mobile to call for an emergency service (999), you should also then call 024 76 5 22222. This alerts the University Community Safety team and will enable the emergency vehicle to be speedily escorted to where it is required on the campus.
If you're struggling but it's not an emergency, please contact Wellbeing.
