FINALISTS: GET PUBLISHED! Submit to a New Undergraduate Journal of Global Studies launching at Warwick

To this end, we are seeking high-quality research work from Warwick finalists to feature in Mundus. This could comprise a URSS project, a formative or assessed essay for a module, (part of) a dissertation, a portfolio of creative/practice-based research and so on. Alternatives to essays are especially welcome as the journal seeks to go beyond the standard academic article, by publishing original research conducted by undergraduates in new forms, such as blogs, podcasts, videos and digital artworks.

You will have the chance to be included in our groundbreaking launch issue, alongside outstanding work from other undergraduates in departments across the university. In addition, there will be features, interviews with academics and a special themed section of essays on Global Shakespeare. Even if you don't intend to do a masters or a PhD, getting published will be a great way to boost your CV and make all that reading count!

A more detailed description of submissions criteria is given below.

We are particularly keen to hear from Sciences students, so get involved! Please contact the Co-Editors at mundusjournal@gmail.com ASAP if you would like to be part of this exciting new initiative. If you wish to get in touch, don't forget to use a personal email as your Warwick address will expire after you graduate. This will enable us to keep in contact with you over the summer.
CRITERIA FOR SUBMISSIONS

Articles
Articles of between 2,000-8,000 words, which address some aspect of global studies are welcomed for submission. An article may comprise formative or assessed work, taken as part of an undergraduate course; or independent work, completed outside undergraduate studies.

Online Projects
Online projects of between 2,000-8,000 words, or equivalent length, which address some aspect of global studies are welcomed for submission. The aim of online projects is to incorporate new forms of digital technology and media communication with existing research methods in academia, in order to explore new approaches of structuring and presenting information.

This may come in the form of short videos, blogs, podcasts, websites, presentations, virtual exhibitions, simulations, animations, digital galleries and beyond. Projects may be part of formative or assessed work in undergraduate modules that already incorporate such methods (e.g. Making History, Visual Sociology, Core Issues in Comparative Politics); or independent work, completed outside undergraduate studies.
