James Dyson Award 2019!
The James Dyson Award is an international design engineering competition which rewards socially conscious, innovative students and recent graduates for developing meaningful solutions to real world problems. The competition brief: design something that solves a problem. Have a sneak peek at our launch video here.
Students that enter have the opportunity to win £2000 as a national winner and £30,000 as an international winner, along with a donation of £5000 to the departments that supported them. The award not only provides an opportunity for students to commercialise their ideas through funding, it also provides an international media platform and exposure which has allowed previous winners such as Petit Pli and Mimica to be developed into businesses.
4th year project data collection - Request for volunteers
We are a group of 5 undertaking a master research project in the School of Engineering. The project is based around lower leg mechanics which means we need to collect gait lab data. Information about the data collection and the project can be found in the attachment We would like to collect this data over the next few weeks. The experiment will take around 30 minutes and will take place in the gait lab of the Engineering building. If you are interested in taking part in the study please send an email to s.holthof@warwick.ac.uk.

In the event of an emergency on campus requiring ambulance, police or fire brigade, call 22222 from an internal telephone. If you are on campus and you use a mobile to call for an emergency service (999), you should also then call 024 76 5 22222. This alerts the University Community Safety team and will enable the emergency vehicle to be speedily escorted to where it is required on the campus.
