Cleaning of Laboratories
Cleaning of laboratories needs to be strictly controlled to ensure that persons who are not normally engaged in the laboratory activities are not put at risk.
The following instructions have been prepared to cover the engagement of cleaners (for cleaning and non hazardous waste removal) for particular laboratory spaces within the School of Engineering where there are precautions that need to be taken by our cleaning staff:

Researchers engaging in new areas of research or who are preparing new research facilities should ensure that similar instructions are prepared whenever these are identified as being necessary through the process of risk assessment.
