Carbon dioxide to fuel cars and make rural farm fertilisers thanks to £9m ERC funding
Prof. Evgeny Rebrov, together with members of an international team, has won a £9 million ERC Synergy grant SCOPE to study the effect of fast temperature modulations in chemical reactors to improve the efficiency of current technologies utilising cold plasma.
Prof Rebrov chairs the Warwick-Monash Alliance minisymposium on MOFs and magnetic materials
Prof Evgeny Rebrov (School of Engineering) and Prof Richard Walton (School of Chemistry) organised a minisymposium to discuss the highlights in the synthesis, characterisation and application of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and related magnetic materials. The symposium will be held on the 28th June 2018 in the School of Engineering (A 205) starting at 9.00 am. The guest speakers are Prof Alan Chaffee and Dr Gregory Knowles from the School of Chemistry, Monash University.

Prof Rebrov gave a talk at the Science|Business framework conference on 4th June 2018. The conference debated the policies and programmes Europe will need for long-term prosperity - across all sectors: manufacturing, energy, regional development and more.

Prof Rebrov chairs the 2016 Smart Biorefinery workshop
This workshop was devoted to the recent achievements and challenges in bio and chemical transformation of biomass towards useful chemicals and fuels. The workshop was organised within the Warwick-Monash alliance and included keynote lectures and oral presentations from academics from the UK and Australia. The main aim of the workshop was to provide a platform for the multidisciplinary exchange of knowledge and expertise in the area of biorefinery and to foster international collaborations between leading specialists in the UK and Australia. The workshop was chaired by Prof Evgeny Rebrov
