Biosketch
Federica Ceresa was born in Piacenza, she received her Master’s Degree from the University of Politecnico di Milano (Italia) and she is a member of the body Ordine Ingegneri della Provincia di Piacenza (National Engineer's Register).
She works as clinical engineer from 2002: from July 2011 she is a clinical engineer manager at Ausl-AO University Hospila of Parma (Clinical Service Engineering) and her main activities and responsabilities are Advice and organization of Clinical Service Engineering; biomedical equipments maintenance management; medical gas distribution systems; management and maintenance US, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy; Health Technology Assessment; supplying medical equipments and devices; writing technical specifications to purchase medical equipments and medical devices; member of the commission for evaluation of technical specifications, testing and disposal equipments; evaluation of agreements for the equipments and their control; electrical safety test, functional and quality controls; project and management medical systems; Quality Management System; LSO; Telemedicine and IoT (I am working in Activage Project-www.activageproject.eu); ICT (PACS, equipment management sw); cancer fields: management and maintenance; evaluation of medical devices from June 2011 to July 2011 she worked as clinical engineer manager at Hospital ‘Luigi Sacco’ of Milano: from December 2008 to June 2011 she worked as clinical engineer manager at Fondazione IRCCS-Istituto Nazionale Tumori di Milano and from May 2002 to december 2008 as clinical engineer manager at several italian hospitals with TBS Group. These are her main activities and responsabilities: Advice and organization of Clinical Service Engineering, biomedical equipments maintenance management, Health Technology Assessment, supplying medical equipments and devices, writing technical specifications to purchase medical equipments and medical devices, member of the commission for evaluation of technical specifications, testing and disposal equipments, evaluation of agreements for the equipments and your control, electrical safety test, functional and quality controls, project and management medical systems, Quality Management System of Hospital.
Currently she is a Visiting Fellow Research in the School of Engineering in the University of Warwick for project “HTA of medical devices and harmonization of regulations on medical locations among European and neighbor countries”, seminars on clinical engineering and health Technology Assessment (HTA) to Master and PhD students.
She speaks 3 languages and she is an AIIC (Associazione Italiana Ingegneri Clinici) member.
