BiographyJinjian Jiang was born in Shenyang China, and received his BEng degree in Process Equipment and Control Engineering at Northeastern University (Shenyang, China) in 2023. He completed his Master of Science by Research study which focused on robotic lower limb rehabilitation at University of Birmingham (Birmingham, UK) in 2025, and started the PhD study at University of Warwick in 2025 in the same field. His main research interest is located in robotic lower limb rehabilitation which involves the prediction of gait parameters and the control of rehabilitation devices. In his master stage, he has proposed a LSTM model pack to predict lower limb joint parameters continuously which simplified the wearable sensor system while the prediction performance is comparable to the state-of-the-art methods. The aim of his PhD project is to develop an adaptive controller for the lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton which will integrate the electroencephalogram (EEG) and surface EMG (sEMG) signals to adapt to the gaits of patients and assist them to walk adaptively.
