Jiyu Sun is a Professor with Jilin University. She was born in Jilin on September 1976. She studied in the discipline of Agricultural Engineering of Jilin University for her Ph. D. degree from 2002 to 2005. She has been working in the College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and the Key Laboratory for Bionic Engineering, Ministry of Education, Jilin University since 2002. She is now focussing on nanoindentation properties of biomaterials and MAVs research.
Dr. Sun has presided over research projects including 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 National Science & Technology Pillar Program of China in the Twelfth Five-year Plan Period, 1 the National Key Research and Development Program of China and 4 the Development Program of Science and Technology of Jilin Province of China. Dr. Sun is the author or co-author of more than 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, the total number of citations is in excess of 591, 2 book chapters, and holds 10 China patents.
Jin Tong is a Professor with Jilin University. He is a supervisor of doctor program in agricultural engineering, director of the Key Laboratory for Terrain-Machine Bionics Engineering (KLTMB) (Ministry of Education, China), a member of the academic council of KLTMB, and Dean of the College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Jilin University.
He received his ME degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Jilin University of Technology in 1987 and his Ph. D. degree from the College of Agricultural Machinery Engineering, Jilin University of Technology in 1992. He has been a visiting scholar in the Department of Aeronautical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Salford, England, for one year, and in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Kansas State University, USA, for three months.
His main research interests are biomimetic tribology and biomimetic materials, including biomimetics of the soil-engaging components or parts of terrain machinery, biological surfaces and biomimetics in agricultural engineering and in tribology, nanotechnology in agricultural engineering, and biomaterials in agriculture.
