Faculty Post-doctoral Award

Nominations are invited for the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine Post-doctoral Research Prize 2024.

Engineering will be awarding a prize of £500 to an early career post-doctoral researcher for the best Warwick-affiliated research output in 2023. Outputs could include, but would not be restricted to: peer review papers; conference proceedings; software.

Eligibility
  • Any employee on a fixed-term contract still within five years of completing their PhD by the first date of the output period (1 January 2023 for the 2024 prizes);
  • The output needs to include a Warwick email address or Warwick affiliation to be eligible.
  • Nominees should normally be the lead author or significant contributor to the output;
  • The output must be published in the calendar year immediately before the prize (i.e. between 1 January and 31 December 2023 for award in 2024);
  • Prize winners must be in post to receive the award
  • Applicants can enter only one output per nominated person
Terms and Conditions

1. The competition will open immediately, and is open to Warwick-affiliated outputs published between 1 January and 31 December 2023.

2. Self-nominations or nominations from colleagues are welcomed.

3. To enter the competition, the application form must be completed in full (see below for link)

4. The deadline for applications is 8pm, 29th March 2024. No applications will be accepted after this time.

5. The competition will be judged by the School of Engineering Research Committee.

6. The winning researcher would be announced by the end of May 2024.
