Research Interests
My research concentrates on catalysis and reactor design. I am interested in the design and fundamental understanding of novel catalytic systems. In particular, my research activities are focused on;
- Development of new catalytic systems for the valorization of lignocellulosic biomass
- Integration of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic systems for biomass conversion
- In-situ characterization of supported transition metal complexes
- Synthesis and characterization of mesoporous zeolites and silicas
- Bronsted-Lewis acidity in mesoporous and microporous materials
- Methanol to liquid fuels reactions over novel hierarchical zeolites
- Heat and mass transfer effects in micro reactors for fine chemical synthesis
- Reactor design through non-traditional heating processes
