Blog
The Group Blog
Here is a place to keep track of what work we are all doing so try and keep it updated so we know where were up to and can also check any papers etc that someone might of already read.
Its really simple to use and if we keep the tags up to date then we can also filter for personal blogs too.
Book For Lit Review
Found a good book in Google Books that we could all use for the Lit Review. I found it quite useful, so have a look for yourself and see what you think.
Elastic Pressure - Volume Relationship
Elastic Pressure - Volume Paper: Effects of recruitment of collapsed lung units on the elastic pressure-volume relationship in anaesthetised healthy adults
DD Part For Presentation
Hope all is well, here is my part for the poster:
What I Have Done:
Modelled a one dimensional representation of a basic human lung, assuming a symmetrical lung with laminar fluid flow and taking into account resistance to airflow.
Most of the researcch came from Journals written by Mauroy.
What I Plan To Do:
Improve the one dimensional model to take into account the effects of pulmonary elasticity, assymetry and turbulent fluid flow.
With more research the model can be further developed so users can isolate specific pathways through the lung and find useful data regarding the pathway.
ALSO I could provide graphs representing data from the current 1-D model. Possibly how reynolds number changes with generation? Let me know what you guys think.
Cheers,
Dhillon
Paper to be looked at before Sunday for the 1D modelling team
Must at least look at this before sunday.
Charlie if you could have a proper read through it as it has allot of refferences since published think it could be the one if you know what i mean...
Dhillon not at important but may discuss how the angle changes effect the 1D model you are constructing
