International exchanges
12 month placements abroad exist for second year undergraduate MEng students who wish to take all their third year abroad for both educational and cultural experiences. These placements are exchanges, meaning that each student from Warwick is matched by an equivalent student coming to Warwick from the other university over the same period.
A third year student can also take a year abroad as an intercalated year, which does not count particularly towards their degree and which costs up to an extra years fees. It can be useful on a CV though.
The location of available placements will change from year to year, but previous placements have included:
- Australia - Monash
- Austria - Graz
- Canada - Waterloo
- France, Ecole des Mines
- France - Grenoble
- Germany - Darmstadt
- Germany - Ilmenau
- Sweden - Chalmers
- Turkey - Koc
- USA - Wisconsin-Madison
Please note that the mention of a university on this list does not guarantee a placement – it depends on the numbers flowing both ways between universities.
