Our Engineering Build Space brings together discussion areas, prototyping facilities, advanced manufacturing equipment, and robotics, creating a collaborative environment where students and staff can work together to develop and realise innovation ideas.

Specialist spaces and equipment

Beyond the Build Space, you'll have access to specialist laboratories and equipment supporting teaching across a wide range of engineering disciplines.

From biomedical engineering and advanced materials to energy, electronics and communications, you'll develop practical skills using technologies similar to those found in industry.

Our facilities are also home to world-leading research, giving you the opportunity to learn in environments where new engineering solutions are being developed and explore how engineering can address real-world challenges.

The future of engineering

Our facilities are continuing to grow. The University is in the process of creating a £425m Science and Engineering Precinct, creating new state-of-the-art spaces for teaching, research and collaboration.

This development will create new opportunities for students to learn alongside world-leading research and work across disciplines to tackle real-world challenges.
