In the summer of 2023, our students undertook 5 research projects on various topics on the theme of diversity in mathematics. They are:

• Aardra Jithesh: Decolonising mathematics: reclaiming non-Europeans mathematics attributed to European mathematicians
• Gihan Mallikarachchige: Racial bias in medical statistics and AI
• Ximan Mao: Mathematics from China
• Kitty Powell: Mathematical texts from the non-European world that made an impact on the development of mathematics
• Rae Shaw: How do different cultures represent and work with numbers?
