2013-14 Warwick EPSRC Symposium on Statistical Mechanics: Combinatorics and Statistical Mechanics
University of Warwick, 7-11 April 2014
Organisers: R. Kotecký, A. Sokal, D. Ueltschi
The main themes include statistical-mechanics methods in combinatorial enumeration and, conversely, the use of combinatorial tools for the study of statistical-physics models. Topics include (but are not limited to): Connections between partition functions in statistical mechanics and graph polynomials in combinatorics; entropic long-range order for low-temperature Potts antiferromagnets; distributions in random graph homomorphisms, which generalise random proper q-colourings; combinatorial species
and their links with cluster and virial expansions; the distribution of cycle lengths in models of random transpositions.
The schedule can be found here.
