Research Title:

Co-designing, implementing and evaluating a 'Learning from Excellence' intervention for community health workers and their direct supervisors in Neno, Malawi

About my research:

In collaboration with Partners in Health, Maartje co-designed and implemented an intervention based on the Learning from Excellence programme, for community health in Neno district in Malawi. The Learning from Excellence programme aims to identify excellence events of the community health workers as well as learn from these events. The intervention was rolled out in the district in September 2020 and will be evaluated with the help of realist evaluation methodology, to not only learn more about the outcomes of the intervention, but to also understand mechanisms that lead to the outcomes and contextual factors that facilitate or impede mechanisms or outcomes.
