frances.jpgMessage from the Head of Division

The Division of Health Sciences integrates work from societal, social, psychological, organisational and bio-medical perspectives in its research and teaching.

The research focus of the Division is on the design and evaluation of interventions (behavioural, medical, technological and organisational), plus how the application of knowledge in these areas change clinical practice and ultimately health outcomes. Our research includes applied health services research, methodological development/application of health sciences, evidence synthesis as well as relevant theoretical enquiry.

Our teaching for medical students, post graduate courses draws on our research strengths, with particular focus on public health, primary care and, community care including mental health.

The Division is able to draw upon its high-calibre, multidisciplinary and internationally recognised leaders in health sciences research to deliver an outstanding student experience with opportunities for study at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Projects currently available for postgraduate research students in the Division of Health Sciences can be found here.
