Wellbeing activities at WMS
We encourage our staff and students to get involved in wellbeing activities during their lunch breaks and after work to take some time away from the office and do something completely different. Set up by a member of staff, football sessions take place every week with regular staff/student tournaments. - Book club

Women's health
We have a dedicated Women's Health and Menopause group at WMS who organise a variety of initiatives. Recent projects have included:
- Emergency sanitary initiative
This scheme provides free of charge emergency sanitary protection to everyone at WMS. We have provided, in discreet boxes placed in the gender neutral and female toilets, items that can help during unexpected/unplanned emergencies. Contained within the boxes are different types of sanitary wear, disposable underwear and freshening wipes. - Menopause Cafe
We hold a virtual Menoapuse Cafe every two weeks led by a member of the group. This drop-in session is for men and women to join, with a facilitated discussion taking place about the menopause, its effects and support that can be offered to those going through it. - Events
The group organises talks and events focused on women's health. For example, in October 2020 we organised an online menopause webinar attended by over 200 members of staff. The webinar was delivered by national menopause experts and had a covered the symptoms of menopause, why it is important for current and future health and ways of treating and managing symptoms.
- Prolapse and Incontinence
We were asked by our community to provide more information about prolapse and incontinence. As the topic area is sensitive colleagues requested information via video rather than attending a seminar or meeting. We have created two short videos talking to our resident expert Professor Olanrewaju Sorinola on the subject.
