Congratulations : Sarah Stewart-Brown
Congratulations to Professor Sarah Stewart-Brown, who has been featured in the Medical Women’s Federation's list of the ‘80 brightest and most respected female doctors in the UK’.
In addition, Sarah gave the Sandy Macara Memorial lecture at the British Medical Association’s Public Health Conference this week. Sir Alexander Macara was a prominent professor of public health who did a lot of work through and with the BMA and was Chair of Council of the BMA in the 1990s. Each year since he died in 2012, a prominent member of the public health community has been invited to give this memorial address. Sarah's lecture was entitled 'Public Mental Health: New Solutions to Old Problems' and was attended by members of Sir Alexander's family.
