Clinical Trials Design and Delivery

WMS is home to the Warwick Clinical Trials Unit, an academic unit undertaking clinical trials addressing real issues of local, national and international importance.

Multi-centre, randomised controlled trials are run in close collaboration with local NHS Trusts and clinicians. Trials are subjected to rigorous external peer review and efficiently managed, to ensure high quality results.

The main areas of research are:

  • Emergency, critical care and rehabilitation trials
  • Cancer trials
  • Clinical trials methodology
  • Systematic reviews

WMS takes an interdisciplinary approach to clinical trials, with collaboration between clinical trialists, statisticians, Health Economists, clinical experts and project managers. The programmes of work draw together quantitative and qualitative methodologies in an evaluation framework.
