This special Entertainment & Excellence Awards Event acknowledged excellence demonstrated by West Midlands based individuals/organisations in making a positive difference to vulnerable children worldwide. The event helped to raise awareness and funding for the critical projects of the Save the Children charity which works to improve the lives of children at home and abroad.

The event was held at the prestigious International Convention Centre in Birmingham and featured some of the best artists in the UK in the field of music, comedy, art, dance, magic, etc. The dress theme of the evening was Majestic Maharaja/Maharanis with an invitation to SEVA (service rendered to others) and to collaboration with others in making a difference in the world.

Professor Singh received an award for his work with children and young people. A short film was shown on his work and featured colleagues from Warwick University and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.
