Research Interests

I am a sociologist who uses social research methods in health services research and clinical trials. I have worked on projects about: breast cancer; thrombosis and cancer; vulval lichen sclerosus; physiotherapy; trauma and orthopaedics; and intensive care. My research interests include using qualitative methods to explore experiences of health and illness to inform clinical trials and health services research.

I gained a BScEcon Sociology from Cardiff University in 2010, and went on to an ESRC 1+3 funded MA and PhD in Health and Social Studies at the University of Warwick. Since completing my doctoral studies, I have undertaken work exploring experiences of health and illness, acceptability of interventions, and implementation of interventions.
