Full text:  The Niche Vehicle Network, supported by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, Innovate UK and the Advanced Propulsion Centre, invites applications for its R&D project funding. This enables SMEs activities in the low carbon vehicle technology sector to undertake collaborative R&D activities. Funding is provided under two competitions: •proof of concept competition provides grants for UK niche vehicle manufacturers and associated design and engineering companies to undertake R&D of early market low carbon technology demonstration projects; •production readiness competition provides grants for UK SMEs and their supply chains to take existing low carbon vehicle technologies from demonstration through to production readiness in a compressed time scale, leading to significant economic benefits whilst reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
