Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 - Industrial Fellowships (PhD, EngD or industrial Doctorate)
The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 invites applications for its industrial fellowships. These aim to encourage profitable innovation and creativity in British industry by supporting research leading to a patented product or process in conjunction with a PhD, EngD or industrial doctorate.
Applicants should have a first level degree in engineering, science or medicine, and normally be within five years of degree graduation. They should have identified research or a development topic leading to a patent, product or process in conjunction with a higher academic award. Applicants should be either employed or sponsored in the UK by a British-based company. Employed applicants should be able to demonstrate an established link between their employing company and appropriate staff at a UK university; doctoral applicants should be in the first or second year of a UK university-based doctoral programme strongly tied to industry.

Due to the implementation of a new UKRI funding system (TFS) there will be a fixed quarterly deadlines for some grants which would previously have been on open calls, this is to allow necessary system amendments and updates.
