Emeritus fellowships
The Leverhulme Trust invites applications for its emeritus fellowships. These enable retired senior researchers to complete a research project and to prepare the results for publication. Research on any subject area may be funded, with the exception of studies of disease, illness and disabilities in humans and animals, or research that is intended to inform clinical practice or the development of medical applications. Applicants must be resident in the UK and should hold, or have held, a teaching or research post at a university or comparable institution in the UK at the time of retirement. They should have retired by the time of taking up the fellowship and no longer have a normal contract of employment. Applicants may however hold a part-time position. Each fellowship is worth up to £24,000 for a period between three and 24 months. Eligible costs include the following: travel and subsistence costs for periods away from home; the employment of a research, clerical or secretarial assistant to support the work of the applicant; photocopies; photographic expenses; office or laboratory consumables.
