New trial empowers women to choose how to deliver big babies

Published in the Lancet, findings from The Big Baby Trial led by The University of Warwick, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) and the Perinatal Institute, provides crucial new information to help women choose how to safely deliver babies suspected to be large for their age.


Groundbreaking Mammo-50 Trial: University of Warwick and UHCW deliver pioneering study on post-surgery monitoring for women with early-stage breast cancer

A five-year study, called Mammo-50, that followed women aged 50 and older with a breast cancer diagnosis and surgery has been published in The Lancet. This research, funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), shows that follow up surveillance with less frequent mammograms put the patients at no greater risk and could reduce the stress of waiting for results.

Digital pathology cleared for use in cancer screening programmes

New research funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has led to the UK government approving the use of digital pathology to help speed up analysis of cancer screening samples.
