We'd like to welcome Qiushao (Sarah) Sun to the group in Warwick. She is completing her PhD at CU Hong Kong, in Emma's group, and will be visiting the department for a year.

Funded PhD positions are available to work with Emma MacPherson on "Fast Terahertz Imaging and Spectroscopy", and with James Lloyd-Hughes on "Ultrafast terahertz spectroscopy of novel perovskite photovoltaics". Please get in touch if you are interested in a PhD or MSc by Research in the group. These are funded studentships lasting 3.5 years, and are available to UK and EU students.

Many congratulations to Michele, who successfully defended his PhD thesis recently. He will start a postdoc at TU Delft in October, working with Prof. Laurens Siebbles.

Welcome to Maria Burdanova and Maurizio Monti, who started their PhDs in October and November 2016, respectively. Maria will work on high-field THz spectroscopy, and Maurizio with optical pump-THz probe spectroscopy, at WCUS
