Rebecca Nealon

How did your journey into Physics begin?

I read a book called 'Astronomy for under 10s' when I was about 8 and immediately decided that astrophysics sounded like the coolest job in the world.

What is your favourite thing about your research area?

Every single problem or question brings something new! This means that a big part of my job is always learning.

Why do you think it is important to highlight women in science day? What does it mean to you?

Because women are incredible scientists and we should celebrate that. To me, highlighting women in science means inspiring young people who will be future astronomers and laying the foundations for other under-represented groups.
