Nominations are now invited for this prize, which is for the best Doctoral thesis awarded by the Statistics Department in 2017 (specifically, theses passed with no more than minor corrections and viva undertaken between 1st January 2017 and 31st December 2017).

Nominations should be made by PhD supervisors in the period from Thursday 1st March 2018 until Monday April 30th 2018. Nominations should take the form of 1 page A4 making the case for the student in question, plus a copy of the thesis in final form as PDF, and should be sent to the Director of Graduate Studies <w.s.kendall@warwick.ac.uk>, copied to the PG Support Officer <stats.pg.support@warwick.ac.uk> in the period from Thursday 1st March 2018 until Monday April 30th 2018.

Note that nominations for PhD students attending a doctoral training centre should be directed in the first instance to the director of the centre.

Nominating supervisors should ensure that nominated candidates agree that, should they be selected to receive an award, that their acceptance of the award would necessitate their names being published on the Faculty of Science Webpages.
